LG 32EP950 OLED Monitor Review - Most Accurate Monitor Under 5 Figures?

Ok, look, first of all, no, I am not going to entertain his discussion of the benefits of 120hz "outside of gaming" on a $5000 display. Quite frankly, I find his argument ridiculous.

This is a $5000 display we are talking about, and he wants me to entertain discussion about a smooth mouse cursor and a smooth looking dragging of Notepad around the 2d desktop??? No, I'm not going to even go there. This is as ridiculous as going into the Porsche dealer and talking about a $200K Porsche having a remote keyless entry as a big selling point. On a $5000 display, we can talk 120hz, but we are talking about the actual benefit of 120hz - and that is to gaming, not looking at the mouse pointer as you move it around the screen fast. You don't drop $5000 on a display for that.

Secondly, no, I don't need to wait for the actual results. As TFTCentral said (a HIGHLY reputable source in the industry), this is already known. There are already FALD displays on the market WITHOUT G-Sync modules. Including the $5000 one Dell just released. The FALD performance is god-awful on these displays. This is well known in the industry. Yes, there is local dimming lag. Go Google it. There are tons of sources on this.

Yes, local dimming is fast in gaming mode on your TV because the TV manufacturers (mainly Sony and LG) dropped MILLIONS of dollars on R&D to improve their FALD algorithms. Nvidia did the same thing, and incorporated that into its latest G-Sync modules. These are patented technologies, and they don't make the available to just anyone. The ProArt line does NOT pay Nvidia to use their FALD acceleration tech, therefore it will NOT have it.
