LGBT religious people, how do you reconcile your identity and your religion?

Ya. That sounds terrible. Often times people can misrepresent God, and churches make a lot of mistakes in these areas.

The fact of the matter is homosexuality is a sin. And it explicitly says this in many places in the Bible. We all will be accountable to God when we die. And no one can imagine the damage, hurt, and confusion living through something like that has caused you. Im very sorry that has happened. People are evil. But people can also be good when we reflect Gods love mercy and kindness which that pastor and your mom did not seemingly do.

I am confident the Lord Jesus Christ will carry you through the aftermath that you are experiencing as a result of the evil done to you. But remember, that we have to ask God for a new heart, to be born again, to read His word daily (the Bible), because if we really love and know God we will be obedient to His word, repent of our sins, forsake them, and put our trust in Jesus.

Take care and God bless and keep you, in Jesus name
