Lib Dems will invest extra £6 billion in NHS and social care if elected

I would also add that perhaps the selfish altruism of the NHS is partly to blame. For example, a few months ago I went to see Hacksaw Ridge at the cinema. I'm fine with some gore, but I hate needles. It's my fault that I went to see it, and I ended up fainting and being carried out of the cinema in an ambulance to A&E. The ambulance people were amazing people and so were most of the nurses in the hopsital. I had blood tests, urine tests, and stayed there probably about for six hours (although I wasn't very happy because when I'd fainted I'd involuntarily wet myself so I was sat for six hours, tired, and stinking of piss.) The thing is, though I appreciate all the care they took of me, I didn't need it. I've fainted before and know exactly what my triggers are - heat and needles. I know they were trying to see if I had any other conditions, but I couldn't help but feel that the resources would be better spent on someone who actually needed it.

Likewise, people who go out and get pissed and punch each other up should have to pay for their treatment as it is your responsibility.
