Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore on impeachment: ‘Just getting rid of Trump, what does that do?’

Hey I'm far from perfect, and I know I fuck up on a regular basis, but just trying my best to speak my mind. You may be right and I may be overreacting but this is at least where I'm coming from.

From my perception, anything less than treating the other party like the enemy is cause for (oftentimes hateful) criticism.

My point doesn't involve to abandon progressive ideals, or concede the things we believe. My point is to speak out in a civil way, in an effort to avoid becoming a hateful mob. The reason I'm so passionate about this, is because there are numerous historical examples of hyper-partisan behavior (like we're witnessing now) resulting in the collapse of democracies. If we can stop fighting and stand together there is much to be accomplished.

It feels to me that there is becoming very little room for civil disagreement, in a party that's meant to be progressive. I share the belief that the GOP is wrong on many fronts but I choose not to match it with a hateful response. That doesn't mean I wouldn't peacefully protest or speak out in a meaningful way.

I know I may sound like an ass (and I may be one), and it's harder to have this convos over the internet bc tougher to gauge what ppl really mean. I don't expect you to change your mind but since I hadn't seen it represented, I'm just trying to add a different voice to the conversation.
