This liberal troll whore in Indiana

First Amendment: prohibits the making of any law respecting any establishment of religion. The First is incorporated to the states by the 14th Amendment. Why are we restoring religion when it has no place in our government's purview, per the constitution?

Federal FRFA only applies to the federal government, per Boerne v. Flores. Ergo, state legislatures initiated their own RFRAs, which have consistently been stricken down as unconstitutional.

Indiana RFRA law: "a governmental entity may not substantially burden a person's exercise of religion...[unless it] (1) is in furtherance of a compelling governmental interest; and (2) is the least restrictive means of furthering that compelling governmental interest."

Ergo, the State of Indiana cannot take an action deemed to burden a person's free exercise of religion unless that action is compelling and by least restrictive means.

The law was drafted so that businesses such as Hobby Lobby can state they have "religious beliefs" and deny employees and patrons based on discriminatory means, couched cowardly behind the guise of religion. "Christian" business owners in the old south would deny the serving of "Colored" people, based on religion. Wasn't the Klan's mission statement based on American values and Christian morality?

Let me play devil's advocate: Under the Indiana RFRA law, it would be legal for an Jewish owned restaurant to sit men and women separately. Under the RFRA law, it would be legal for a municipality to adopt Sharia Law. Under the RFRA law, it would be legal for a Muslim restaurant to require any patrons or employees to cover themselves as per the Quran. Under the RFRA law, it would be legal for a Christian or Abrahamic person to disavow a contract for cloth because they are made from mixed fibers. How do you feel about those scenarios?

Will you support those groups right to discriminate based on religion, or is it only when the law supports your backward bigoted (read: Christian) world view?
