As a liberal who has seen a lot of this behavior from students at UIUC, I feel like this is a relevant share.

I have not told anyone in real life that I support Trump. In real life and on social media, I have not written a word about Trump or Clinton. And I respect that people can think differently than me. But all of my liberal friends on social media have been posting that they literally hate me as a Trump voter for voting for Trump. My professors in classes today implied they hated Trump. Every conversation on campus was about how much they hated Trump and Trump supporters. They were even chanting on the quad. One "friend" used profanity talking about Trump today, and another recently said that "those Trump supporting assholes." I have spent the last 12 months in silence, enduring all kinds of personal attacks on me for my beliefs, and today was the worst day yet.

Well, I can't say anything back to any of you, because I'm in the minority, and I need to just finish this college degree and get good grades.

But I would like to say it here:

I'm so glad you lost. You can't imagine how anyone could disagree with you and still be a good person. You are full of hatred. You are just selfish and cruel, living in your leftist authoritarian bubble. It is wonderful to see hateful people like you in tears. I spent all last night read your crying comments, and it soothed my soul. I hope you never get over it, after you have called me every name in the book for the past 12 months. You really are the most hateful people on the planet. I hope Trump's presidency extends for 8 years, and I hope you're absolutely miserable for every second of it. I hope every law you cherish is repealed, and every law you despise is implemented. I hope that the new Supreme Court rules against your desires for the next 50 years. Because you truly deserve it.

I am so glad I was finally able to vote against your hate and unkindness.
