Liberals and conservatives are known to rely on different moral foundations. New study (n=1,000) found liberals equally condemned conservative (O'Reilly) and liberal (Weinstein) for sexual harassment, but conservatives were less likely to condemn O'Reilly and less concerned about sexual harassment.

Prosecutors certainly don't believe O'Reilly and Weinstein are equally deserving of jail time.

The problem in America of using this as some kind of a bellwether of how guilty someone is/isn't is that it's very often a political decision of whether the prosecutors decide to prosecute many cases, not whether they 'deserve' jail time (which is the last thing that should be considered) or whether they actually broke a law (which should be the only thing considered).

Too often 'famous' or 'upstanding' citizens are let off with a slap on the wrist because they're believed to be 'decent' people that made a one time bad judgement call (often despite evidence that these actions are common from the person). This happened a lot in Hollywood, political circles, and often at the top end of business. It's often driven by the 'old boys club'.

That suggests conservative opinion is better aligned with our legal justice system than liberal opinion

This is very humorous.
