Liberals and conservatives of Reddit, what's the most positive thing you can say about the opposing side?

Something that I think is central to conservatives and manifests itself positively (when done correctly) is that they very much care about their own.

The changes of the 20th century weren't easy. Not every conservative is an Oil Baron or some shit. Lots of them are working families. They want to preserve the culture and values they established in such a quickly changing century, just like every culture does.

They want to create a safe and prosperous environment for their families. A lot of the confidence seen between 1945 and 2001 has vanished, which can send large groups of people into a whirlwind.

These are ideas that I respect from them, even though I don't agree with how they are implemented by current elected conservatives. Also if asked for more detail, I'd call these ideas kind of myopic, but I think that's an ideological growing pain of the 21st century.
