Libertarians for Trump

but I'm concerned Sanders getting elected would not trigger some kind of reform as you think but only spread socialism

As Venezuela is showing, socialism can only get results when some external force (like oil being consumed by industrial capitalist countries, props it up, and even then the results are temporary). Socialism in the western world is dead, forever. They can talk all the socialist bullshit that they want, put in all the programs they want, but what they can't do is create wealth. Capitalist economies need to create that first, and all that wealth has already been sucked dry. Socialism will not spread, because it can not spread. It's like a leech that has outgrown it's host. Even if it sucks harder, it will get less and less, because the host can't support it anymore.

Rand won't get elected

Agreed

Trump has fascist elements, but I'm not sure the Founding Fathers were perfect either; he is first and foremost a leader, and sometimes leaders end up acting like fascists.

In truth, the US has been getting slightly more and more fascist for decades if not centuries. In truth, looking back, fascism was probably pre-destined. It is probably the predetermined outcome of democracy brought to its logical conclusion. Some countries, like 1930's Germany, saw it brought to its logical conclusion sooner because they were under enormous debt pressures, and they strongly believed in socialism.

He will probably do some reforms, like kill the fed, and tax reform, regulatory reform, and this will have a long lasting positive outcome. Other reforms, like trade barriers, will work for a little while as US companies get a leg-up on foreign ones, but those same barriers will make us even more uncompetitive in the global marketplace over the long term. As that happens, they could put more and more pressure on the state to intervene more and more, and that could grow out of control. With any luck, the deregulation and taxes side will outweigh the trade barrier harm and once again make us globally competitive, and make the trade barriers irrelevant, god willing, we'll see. This is important, because trade wars usually end up leading to real wars.

Thankfully, there are a lot of good things too. With the emergence of the internet, the government has totally lost control over the media, and is soon to lose control over money. Trump wants to (predictably) try to control the internet, but I predict that more and more advanced technologies with p2p, stenography, and encryption will make that impossible - even in a full-on police state. The USA also has over 200 million guns and over 100 million gun owners. This will also make it extremely hard for a full-on police state.
