Libido ED and low T

I’m not a doctor, and every doctor is different with how they treat it. It also depends on how low it is, any underlying causes, if you want to have kids in the future, availability, what’s covered by your insurance. A bunch of factors. There is no one kind of treatment fits all solutions. I’ve also tried a couple different treatments over the years, but the most recent one really worked well for me.

I’ve been on Clomid (off label use). testosterone patch/under arm roll on. Basically a direct T replacement. But that one comes with fertility issue concerns. However, That one sent my sex drive into high gear.

The one that has really worked well for me is also an off label use. Letrozol. It works similar to Clomid by reducing the conversion of your body’s natural testosterone into estrogen. And it’s a pill you take about once a week. I did not experience any noticeable side effects. Now that I’ve lost weight and gained muscle, I still had above reference range T with and extremely low dose. So now I’m going off it completely to see what happens.

Talk to your doctor. If you can, get a referral to an actual endocrinologist who specializes in hormones. They will hopefully know what will work best for you and your specific body/bloodwork and why your T is low.
