Life doesn't have a purpose. Nobody expects atoms and molecules to have purposes, so it is odd that people expect living things to have purposes. Living things aren't for anything at all -- they just are.

As a native Portuguese speaker and a fluent English speaker, I find myself explaining myself to be clearer in English far more than I do in Portuguese, and I am fluent in English, having spent 5 years in international schools.

Wait what are you trying to say here? “I find myself explaining myself to be clearer in English far more than I do in Portuguese”?

Like it sounds like you are saying in broken English that you are clearer in English, but you’re saying the opposite - that English is less clear.

Ooohhh I get it. You mean “I find myself having to clarify the meaning behind my words in English far more than Portuguese.”

Hmm.
