The life of a Supp

The point people miss about this is that while it's a support's job to monitor the game situation and make calls, we still require the assent of our cores to actually get shit done.

If I suggest moving to bot to gank the enemy farmer that will push out the wave there, I'm hoping my core agrees and we go do it. If they don't agree? It doesn't happen - I'm not going to solo an enemy core that's 3 levels higher than me and twice my networth.

Conversely, if my core wants to roam into the enemy jungle, I can protest that it's probably a trap, but if they really want to do it, then as a support it's often-times better to opt in on the "ride and die" motto, which at least engenders team unity, than abandon the core to the enemy jungle by themselves.

Basically, Supports can basically only suggest courses of action. Cores can dictate them.

Now in a polite, well functioning, team this difference shouldn't be too frustrating, but let's face it - we've all had games where things are far far from polite and well functioning.
