Lifecoach is quitting HCT/ladder, offers thoughts on competitive scene

what kind of stupid ass shit are you saying

its pretty dumb of you to talk about tournaments and then in the same paragraph compare it to you playing against a pro player. one would expect a tournament to put together a group of players of similar skill level at the top.

and its ridiculous to assume that a game cant be interesting for viewers when theres a particularly dominating player that one could assume is going to win the majority of their matches. starcraft had multiple eras completely dominated by either individual players, or a small group of players. people considered that stuff some of the best bw had to offer

i also dont find it particularly compelling to argue towards a lack of personal responsibility as important for a good competitive game. thats a recent and shitty attitude that exists in the moba era, but its not how things have to be. your entire argument boils down to "you have to make your game worse, otherwise you wont have a big enough playerbase." sure, but that doesnt mean you've made a solid competitive game, you've just made a popular game that people decide to play competitively
