light bluish green translucent stone found on the seashore what could it be ??

Hey I'd be interested in moderating this sub. Im finishing my undergraduate this year in Geology at the University of Alberta and am currently working in the department to develop lab exercises for the 1st years Earth science curriculum. I also handle some of the museum collections so Ive seen a lot of Canadian Shield samples as well as WCSB stuff. My major interest is clastic sedimentology, specifically ichnology but am well-rounded in ore geology.

Few Ideas for moderation projects - catalogue of common minerals: A gradual image database for this sub, using imgur albums as a tool, to compile minerals people have posted into a sidebar album and compare to their own minerals to curb the amount of chert and slag - emphasizing good picture taking, so that we can actually ID stuff through the use of stickies (and moderation tools?) - Giving more description then just IDs. I find a lot of people are interested in the paragenesis of their rock, especially in terms of textures. This can be a moderator goal as an exercise in reading material and understanding textures, I wouldn't be surprised if moderators werent already seasoned geologists.

Id also like to know more about this internship.
