I like Bernie, but I am now reconsidering voting for him.

You're still misunderstanding.

if you go down a dead end, you lose points. This may lead females to avoid going down paths

They're being told, if you try to become a doctor, you'll fail. They're afraid if they become a engineer and ask to be paid X amount, they'll lose their contract. They're more afraid than a man would be in the same situation because they're made to feel like they're an outlier, or unusual. Further most like psychology studies that test was done presumable on white college students, so it only tells us about white college students.

If you're really saying that these factors are irrelevant then I can't really help you.

When did I say incompetence is irrelevant? UPS used to not hire women because they couldn't lift packages. They were successfully sued for discrimination and the new rule is employees have to life 50kg packages. They still have less women because less women CAN lift that, and that's normal. What isn't normal is saying less women can lift packages so no women can lift packages.

I'm not saying all jobs should be 50/50, I'm saying we shouldn't be talking about it in terms of whether men or women are better suited to a task. That language is internalized, especially by women, and they in turn exaggerate existed disparities because they are afraid to even try. And I am still skeptical that risk aversion is a biological and not cultural phenomenon.

I haven't been fighting your argument. You've rejected my argument out of hand consistently, and I've been saying even if there is a mild biological difference, it doesn't explain the choices people make.

The choices people make are a psychological question, and women in particularly feel they're fighting an uphill battle which makes them less inclined to try, or risk their position if they have any success.
