I think your hearts in the right place but your inexperience as a fan is showing a little here. Running the football is a culture, I realize that for casual fans it doesnt make for exciting tv but theres a lot more going on then the 3 yard gain you see from your couch. Running the ball, even if it isnt producing a lot of yards exhausts defences. The difference between a 5 yard gain and a 80 yard touchdown off a run in this league can come down to a split second. Its not a coincidence that the titans are a "second half team" this year. By the second half the other teams front 7 is gasping for air, and them coming off the ball just half a second slower than they were in the first half is enough for demarco or henry to bust off a big run. Not to mention that the actual runs themselves are incredibly well designed for the most part. Every team in the league knows the titans wanna run the ball, so we usually end up running against a stacked box and i know it can be frustrating to watch sometimes, but the flip side of that is the play action game is wide open. We dont beat the colts last week without the play action, and thats all thanks to the running culture we have here. The more mariota develops, the more other teams are gonna have to respect the fake and that'll just open up the run even more. We're in a good place here as titans fans, no one should be calling for mularkeys job yet hes earned more than that.
