Like Makeup but not like to USE makeup?

My friend and I decided to go clubbing one night and she offered to do my makeup. I couldn’t see what she was doing or what eyeshadows she was using because my eyes were closed and I wasn’t really paying attention. When she finished it, I went to the bathroom to check it out and I was absolutely horrified. She used dark purple eyeshadow and purple glitter, which felt extremely heavy and sticky on my eyelids. She extended the eyeshadow, so it looked like I had a very thick purple wing and it wasn’t blended at all. You know those SK II eye masks you put under your eyes? That’s what it looked like. I ended up taking it all off because it didn’t feel like me at all and honestly, I was quite scared of my own reflection.
I really love nude eyeshadow, pink lips and cat eyes. That’s what I feel comfortable in and that’s what I look best in. Makeup is supposed to enhance your features, not change them completely. If you don’t feel comfortable in something, then maybe do a soft, natural look instead and keep experimenting until you find something that does feel like you. You can also do a more dramatic, artistic or daring look just for yourself. Be creative and have fun with makeup, that’s what it’s for.
