Is that like a personal attack or something?

I get that it was a deliberate choice. If it were well-executed, I wouldn't have a problem with Captain Marvel's character.

But the thing with arrogance and the MCU is that practically everyone who has been arrogant when there was no need for it has suffered for it. They've had to face the repercussions of their grievous mistakes.

Captain Marvel hasn't had to face those consequences yet. And before you say something along the lines of Iron Man not facing the repercussions of his shitty actions, he faced those consequences multiple times, occasionally within the same movie (a great example of this is the first Iron Man).

My issues with her are not rooted in some wingnut political beliefs. They're just rooted in the fact that she hasn't had enough character development, and yet she's constantly presented as a character we've all known for years.

I guess I'm just disappointed at the lack of good writing that was starting to crawl its way into the MCU at that time, and unfortunately affected Captain Marvel, who I was actually excited to see be adapted onto the big screen back in 2018.
