Lincoln Ho Ward 12 By-Election AMA Sunday Night

You seem to focus way to much on larger issues rather than Ward 12, what is your plan for Ward 12?

I have concerns about the information you have on your website.

Why are you focusing on a nationwide issue as part of your civic campaign? It's good you provided a link to the website for people to register but it's hardly a civic issue since the Edmonton Police implemented the service last year.

  • Trolley Buses - The reason that the trolleys went off the lines so often is because Epcor was not maintaining them properly and it often took a very long time for them to actually get out and fix / install components. Compare that to Vancouver where they are done correctly, rapidly, and have far far fewer issues. Also the newer trolley buses that are in use in Vancouver, and which Edmonton was testing before dismantling the trolley system, are capable of running off the lines so if they get knocked off, they can travel still and be put back online quite quickly.

  • The Japanese train you have on there is not a tram. It's a regular diesel train that runs through a rural area. The description you have on that image is quite inaccurate. The NatGeo page you took the image from (without crediting the photographer), clearly stated it was the Tsugaru-railway in Aomori, Japan. It's no tram line.

Remember the days when you were back in elementary school when all this stuff didn't exist? Students used to stop at a corner/crosswalk, wait for cars to stop, look both ways, then cross. What initiative can you come up with that would ensure kids and adults are being taught the basics of how to cross the street?
