I knew someone in university that was very similar to her. Palestinian, mega rich parents, hijabi, grew up in the west and went to private school, and headed the Islamic Women Society at university. She was incredibly toxic, I was close friends with her initially because at the time I was still fresh off the boat immigrant and it was easier for me to make friends with people who spoke my language. About 3 months later she noticed that I never pray with her posse or bring up religion at all, confronted me about it at a library revision session, I told her that I was basically an atheist and religion isn't for me and I would appreciate if she kept it secret because Muslims tend to react very negatively to those who leave Islam. She didn't, she told everyone at her society group, which then spread to other Islamic social groups which then lead to some Kuwaiti fuckhead who wanted to impress her to pick a fight with me bringing 5 of his friends with him, thankfully the fight got stopped very quickly by security and his ass got deported (he was an exchange student) and his goons got suspended. She blamed me for what happened to him because I testified against him in a police report that lead to his suspension and deportation, but at that point I told her to stay the fuck away and distanced my self from her.
