Lisa Nandy warns Labour voters any idea of reversing Brexit is a ‘fantasy’

I would have agreed before the housebuilding targets were scrapped

The course we're now on is an end to sprawl, its all over in the rural constituencies. Densification is now unfortunately the only tool to build our way out of this.

What will prevent cities and towns from enabling this density is the government 'calling it in' and preventing it, as we've seen in London on numerous occasions.

I know that its fashionable to lump Labour in as a NIMBY party along with the other 2 but most development in the country goes on in Labour constituencies without anyone batting an eyelid, the cities across the Midlands and the North are unrecognisable year after year because of all the development, almost all London Labour councillors/MPs push very strongly for development, its easy to find an exception on twitter or whatever as I know people like to do.

The shires in the South will always be a lost cause, people are very strongly attached to the idea of keeping the shires pristine above all. So thats not a good exception to bring up either, although Labour does tend to lean to development from time to time over there.
