A little confusing. Not sure the trump supporters read what they’re posting.

I feel that there were some technicalities in the original op’s post. To my knowledge, while albeit very limited on the subject, and a few seconds of googling, it seems that the outbreaks listed weren’t technically as damaging as the current outbreak. Ebola and Swine Flu werent NEARLY as contagious or deadly as COVID-19. Not to mention that the US is currently the country being ass-rammed the hardest by it, having the highest population currently infected and the highest number of deaths, making up close to 25 percent of the total deaths worldwide. The closest this current virus can be compared to is the Zika outbreak. They can be slightly comparable in the way that they both created long lasting damage to those who were infected. Un/newborn babies were left severely damaged by the virus. The Coronavirus is still currently exibiting new symptoms in people, with some having permanent respiratory damage to others reporting total loss of some senses to others reporting a tingling sensation all over their body.

My point is, I feel that Trump, in an admittedly rare case of competent leadership, made the correct call to temporarily close down nonessential businesses. The market is crashing because no one in China is fulfilling American companies’ demands for products/labor, cause they ain’t working either. I feel too that now the American population is getting antsy to go back to normal prematurely, either because of stupidity or selfishness. From the giga-Karens wanting sub-minimum wage workers to cut their hair (a legitimate arguement that they have), to Florida opening up their beaches and even opening up WWE (for some reason?), to this crazy, as I like to put it, “economy over the elderly” debate, to Trump, in normal Trump fashion, inadvertently convincing some to eat aquarium cleaner tablets (which is chemcially similar to hydroxychloroquine) and others to apparently inhale household cleaners to kill the virus (he backpedaled HARD on that, claiming he was being sarcastic).

So my grand point in all of this was that: A) The original fb post’s picture drew upon some false equivalences B) The fb op is dummy dumb in his comment. C) Trump was right in TERMPORARILY closing businesses. He was wrong to say some things on impulse. D) This shits about to be a lot worse if we all don’t just stay home and wait it out.

Corrections are welcomed and appreciated.
