Why live?

In life there is a question that almost every human, if not every single human will eventually come to ask themselves, and that is the very question that you are asking yourself at this moment. Instead of asking the question "Why live" , which is a valid question, try to ask yourself what in this life can I accomplish, as that itself is the very thing that gives humans the drive to move from day to day. After many years of researching religion and finding where I fall in the ever rolling debate between science and religion and that is an agnostic. Now after I reached the conclusion that I am an agnostic I began asking myself this question you are asking yourself. From an agnostic stand point I believe that mankind will always search for something in life that many people will feel like is missing. We will always have many questions that we are asking ourselves. Some will try to answer these questions with religion and a deity. There is a drive that is deep within us that will push us and push us even when we feel there is no point. Each individual has a different thing that drives them. You look at a religious person and his answer may be to get to the end and make it to heaven which may not be a valid answer for me and you and many others like us it works for that individual. For the many who are like us we are left with finding a different drive to push us. For me this drive is knowledge. Any and all knowledge. No one particular subject interests me in particular, any and all subjects interest me and I constantly feel the need to gain more and more. You seem like a very intellectual individual judging by the way you have put your thoughts into words as you have. I would love nothing more than to you where you should look for your "drive" but the beauty behind it is finding it for yourself, and I promise you once you find it, it will answer your question of why you need to live. Keep in mind everyone's answer to this question will be different and yours will be unique to yourself. Find the little things in life you love and crave. Begin your search there and never stop. Once you get it, never lose that fire friend.
