Live Episode Discussion: S11E08 "Cold Fusion" (Season Finale)

Why are people barely mentioning that Archer is still in a coma and that S11 was a long con?

Personally I knew from the very first episode that something was off, and each subsequent episode each with their own coma mention solidified my belief that Archer was in fact still dreaming.

Dreamland and Danger Island were when he was in total blackout coma, completely in his subconscious dreams. But he still had faint hint of consciousness from time to time, otherwise he wouldn't have known that Woodhouse had died.

1999 was like that at first too, but then he slowly started to realize things were off, and he started confusing his dream with memories.

Now in S11 Archer is still unconscious but in what medical science usually calls a minimally conscious state, so he can hear and understand, at least partially, what's going on around him. He dreams about being awake and interacting with the people he knows and going back to work as if everything was normal, because that's what he keeps hearing about from Malory and everyone else that visits him at the hospital. They tell him stories about their lives, their cool spy missions and how they're moving on... (well maybe not Malory, I do think she's really living by Archer's side at the hospital :'( ) He dreams he have to adapt to things moving on as if he was there, which is really sad but also, I guess, a good way to prepare himself for when he does actually wake up for real.

I don't want to brag, but I had theorized for a long time that they would do that, even before they started talking about S11.
