I understand how you can feel that way, but I completely disagree. I’m not going to address whether or not he was egging anyone on since we have no evidence of his interactions with rioters before the tapes start, outside of him in interviews claiming to support them.

He was certainly unwelcome there, and probably knew that, but that should never mean he is not allowed to go there. For example imagine a rich black man moving into a white neighborhood. Certainly unwelcoming, as those neighborhoods tend to be racist, but if he gets assaulted there it isn’t his fault.

Unless Kyle was actively seeking a fight (not simply existing in a space where he’s unwelcome) I see no wrongdoing on his part.

All this could change if any evidence comes out that he was provoking the rioters.
