The monitor and the PC are not set up in a way that you could quickly put them to use. The monitor is about to fall down from the edge of the cabinet. My guess is that you moved in not too long ago. A lot still seems provisional, there are no pictures on the wall and there is no sense of a common theme to the room. She probably brought her bricolage shelves from her childhood home and you brought your favorite armchair. So you're still figuring out what it means to live together.
