You seem to have illustrated my point with your example - physical violence having less consequences than accusations of the most serious sexual kind.

You can have your feelings but I'd encourage you to reflect a bit more on the realities of being falsely accused of something like rape. There really is no coming back - I've asked you to give me a case where this is untrue and I don't think you can. Life simply does not go on. Not the same ever again. You seem to believe that this is the extreme case, unfortunately that simply isn't true. You might not realise it but what you are doing is akin to diminishing the experiences of rape victims - after all they suffer all the same symptoms except they are generally more supported and to not suffer permanent social exile and condemnation, literally even in death
