Living and paying bills during flight training.

Join the Air Force in an avionics career field for 4 years.

Have the majority of your bills paid for. After you initial job training is complete. Start using your tuition assistance to take classes that will help become a pilot.

After 3 years of service you get all of the VA benefits which includes flight training.

While serving use your paycheck to buy flight time. To get more flight time get a part time job. Find another pilot to fly together.

Before your service is done. Have at least your CFI. Start working as a CFI and use your VA benefits to get your ATP.

To cut down the full time service. After 3 years apply to leave Active Duty and join the Reserves. Join and get almost free medical and dental. Keep your security clearance. When you need some extra money. Ask to work additional days.

This is the path is started. But due to unforeseen circumstances. I ended up working in aviation maintenance. Which you will also have the experience in.
