Local legends and ghost stories?

Perkins Stone Mansion gives haunted tours at night time in the fall around Halloween. I went there, flashlight in hand, moving from room to room with other attendees. Photography was allowed, had my dslr in hand so took a few shots Took one picture of a bench/sofa with doll sitting on it.. went 'aww' real quick as I didn't realize she was there I was the last person to move from that room to the next I was the first person to enter back into the room, and took another picture of the same doll Checked out the preview on the dslr and found THE DOLL's FREAKING ARM WAS UP !! Left, kept quiet, and never spoke about it till I read your post Go to the Perkins Mansion for a tour .. there's definitely something that goes on there Fun fact: photography was allowed to capture orbs (in the off chance) Fun fact2: Housekeepers frequently find depression on the comforters after they make the beds and revisit it Website to make it easy for you to find it (not too far from Highland Square): http://summithistory.org/Community/museum_perkinsmansion.html

Ditto tours in Canal Fulton. There used to be a pub at a major intersection in Canal Fulton. Across from it was a mortuary. In the old days people frequently would get killed over stupid shit in the pub, so they built a permanent tunnel from the pub to the mortuary across the street (I think it was diagonal from it). The bodies were instantly taken care of to not disturb the peace. Sometimes the victims weren't completely dead, would escape via the canal and die en-route to finding a safe space. I've heard stories of people seeing ghosts on the canal down that way as well.

If I find the picture I took on my dslr will try to link it in a few days. Busy with akroncivichackathon.org right now, might be after June 6th
