Localizing decisions in XB2 via /u/Saffire88

I don't understand the people who whine about localizations.

If someone wants the game in its purest Japanese content, the digital Japanese game is available for a reason. There's no region lock so there's nothing to disavow them from having it, save having the necessary skills to understand Japanese (and therein lies the rub).

Whining and bitching about localizations rubbing out Japanese content makes little sense when you consider that, I don't know, localizations do exactly that? They're localizing it for the region/s it is going to be released for, that's a given.

"I want it in English, a language I understand, but I also want the entirety of Japanese terms/names/etymologies left in the game as if I am playing a Japanese game" means I want to have my cake and eat it, too.

Just study the language if you want to play the game in its native context that much. I did; what's your excuse?

Personally, I play localized games with Japanese audio because I like spotting the changes, seeing how they were changed and possibly what thought processes were involved in said changes.
