To those who replied about Fergie's time as a manager before he joined United: Yes, he had an excellent pedigree before he joined us. Even so, it still took him years to turn the club around.

But for those who weren't following them at the time after he joined us - United fans were also calling for his head but the difference was the chairman - Martin Edwards - gave him time to change the culture and practise root and branch and to build a team with player signings and bringing on youngsters. If the decision then was left up to those now calling for Ollie to be sacked, those successful teams of the 90's and 00's may never have happened.

Over the last few years we've seen what happens when people want a quick knee-jerk fix - it leads to a long-term dysfunctional team. Imo, it's time to get off the rollercoaster and to do it properly.
