We used Armstrong Moving located in Ontario. It was one of three movers approved by our employer. The company was really wonderful and came all the way to the US to pick up our stuff and moved it to Halifax. Insurance was included in our quoted price.

The company was extremely professional and careful with the move. They made sure the floor of the house (both moving out of and moving into) were covered and protected with padding. Every box/item was given a sticker with its own barcode for record keeping. Everything arrived in good condition. My spouse didn't move right away with me so after assembling all of the furniture, the movers actually left me some tools in case I needed to adjust any of the furniture on my own. I would definitely use them again if I had to make another long-distance move.
