Long shot but I'm so scared. I've lost my kitty cat...

Thank you for the advice guys!

Summer is still out on the town somewhere, but my anxiety level has calmed down a little bit after being reassured all day by people at work that cats generally go exploring and return home. I want him back NOW but knowing this is generally pretty "catty" behavior I'm not gonna worry too much yet if I can.

He should be smart enough to find his way back according to some of the cat stories I heard today.

I have been checking the HS website and I sent a claim into them, my sister is better at facebook than I so she is being vigilant on there for me.

Summer is a pretty tough kitty but I'm just concerned that he has had limited outside access, maybe he doesn't know how to look for cars or maybe he chased a rabbit too far and is 5 blocks away somewhere...

Either way, I have done about as much as I can for the moment. Around 10pm I will go for another walk around when it's quieter out and call for him, shake his rattle toy and bag of treats, perhaps take the laser pointer and start pointing it through the brush and see if he runs for it.

So I have calmed down some because I have the humane society on alert along with facebook, I've got flyers out, I've got my window and "yard" as inviting to him as possible.

Cars, larger predators and kids wanting a friendly kitty as a new pet are my largest worries.

Anyway yeah, thanks for the support you guys.
