Looking back as a Skyrim fan, I can't deny that it fell short here.

I know what pedantic means, thanks! Because I disagreed with your assessment of my pedantry (heh) I assumed that perhaps you might not fully understand what it meant - I thought it might do you well to familiarize yourself with the word if you're going to go around using it. I'm happy at the amount of effort you've shown in your reply, and I hope you have found your research edifying.

Replying to my saying "you may want to look up the meaning of the word pedantic" with a list of definitions might itself be considered pedantic. ;)

Like you are being purposefully obtuse about this in the most painfully ignorant way. You only request greater clarification because you are PURPOSEFULLY not understanding the actually meaning of what he said, you are taking the exact definitions and using them to misconstrue his context.

That is not true. Note that he didn't have a negative, visceral reaction to my question - you are, though, and I suspect you are letting your emotions cloud your thinking here. Read each of our comments again, carefully. Read his reply.

For what it's worth, I was not being obtuse and my question was honest. I certainly didn't mean to offend anybody at all with it - certainly not as much as I appear to have offended you.

If you consider what he meant by using the phrase "the vast majority" a formality or a minute detail, ask yourself this - if not to be taken literally, what else could he mean by that? I don't have a good answer for that, and I doubt you do, either.

Are we being pedantic if we start arguing over whether "pedantic" is a good description of my question? Hmm.

Remember - words mean things! Thanks for the downvote! Have a great day!
