I came along on a camping trip with a friend of mine expecting nothing but a couple days of hanging out with friends ours from high school. I might add that I was in no way looking for a relationship at the time, I had broken up with my high school boyfriend earlier in the year and was thoroughly enjoying having my life to myself again. So I show up to the campsite and this super cute guy who is the best friend of the person who brought me along shows up on his dad's boat and we end up spending the entire weekend drinking, dancing and wakeboarding. By the end of the weekend I went home feeling great but was getting ready for the work we ahead, not thinking too much of the weekend's events. Get a Facebook message from the super cute boat guy and he's requesting my phone number so he can send me some pictures he had taken on his GoPro that weekend (smooth, right?). Next thing I know, he's picking me up from work the following Wednesday for the best date I have ever been on. Now two and half years later we're living together and still absolutely crazy over each other. He's helped me see how a real relationship should be and how I should be treated. The best things really do come when you least expect them.
