Here's the build I did almost a year ago. It was $300 cheaper though... if I recall correctly. Not included are a couple more case fans and SATA cables. I've also added more HDDs since.
I have a TV on the wall and dual screens on the desk (not included). I can play Skyrim on Ultra without the system breaking 45 degrees. I have a wireless Xbox controller. I use XBMC to sort our movies on the TV. I use my old Android phone as the remote.
I don't use RAID. Instead I wrote a little script using Robocopy that backs up my data daily to a separate computer on the LAN.
