Looking for advice/to vent

If I could switch to CBD I would, but it does almost nothing for me, and statistically you need a huge amount to really help with sleep. But it clearly works for some people, and it's not psychoactive, so I'd certainly try it in your case.

I eat Chinese food 2-3 times a week. I fucking love it, I've been doing it for years. I'm not gonna stop eating it. Am I an addict? Maybe. Does it negatively impact my life? Not at all.

When I think about weed though, I don't think about "am I an addict", I think "how is this impacting my life". Is it fucking with my job? Am I not doing other things I want to do because of it? etc.

In my case I feel good about my job performance, and I'm getting a lot done towards a couple personal goal I have.

So sure I gotta tone it down every now and then, but I won't quit.

Maybe this is very harmful for you to hear, if it is I'm sorry. Just annoys me when people (maybe your therapist, idk) act like addictions are inherently harmful.

Like tbh even people who are addicted to nicotine.. like if you are addicted to nicotine patches, who gives a shit? If you're addicted to something that's cutting 10 years off your life.. well that's another story.

Evaluate the harm and go from there.
