Looking for anyone in Kingston that would hire blind people

I worked with disabled people after college for a couple years. The drivers license is usually needed because staff often drive the clients from place to place all day long. If the clients are in wheelchairs you have to drive those big accessible vans.

Not sure what kind of jobs your fiancé applied for. But in a lot of disability supports, it isn’t counselling so much as support. You have to help with things like washrooms, showers, lifting and transfers. And pushing wheelchairs. And you can work with behavioural clients who can be pretty aggressive. And have to do things like pass meds several times a day. It’s pretty gruelling work at times. Not sure your fiancés situation, but lots of the jobs aren’t really ‘counselling’. Just saying that because there could be other barriers, right or wrong.
