Looking for fiction books based around WW2.

Okay, so I’m not one for military nonfiction but Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose is an incredible story. Most of these young men were together from Jump School, Normandy, the battle of Bastogne and through VE Day, Easy Company liberated the Eagles Nest at the end of the war. I read the book (and watched the HBO miniseries) so many times. The real heart of the story is of course that these men who went through so much together, really see each other as brothers. The company leader, Major Dick Winters is an excellent example for anyone who wants to lead—whether that is as a sports coach, shift manager in retail or a president. He is a fine example of what a good leader should be. I highly recommend it!
