The Indigenous Music Awards have categories for Blues, Country, Electronic, Folk, Gospel, Pop, Rap/Hip Hop, Rock.

In fact they only have one award for a song with Indigenous Language, Best Inuit, Indigenous Language, or Francophone Album ...strangely enough it includes Francophone...maybe because that would be inclusive for the Metis (i.e. the "real" french Metis, not the lesser mixed anglo variety).

Anyway, it seems the organizers and artists involved in this event would disagree with you. But if you want some examples, look through the nominees for the Indigenous Language category on that website.
