Looking for new moderators.

  1. Not that long. About a year.

  2. I am a moderator on another internet gun forum.

  3. I have more than 30 years of gunsmithing experience; and I once studied with Austin Behlert. I'm competent to make many repairs, and/or I know how to make sophisticated repairs - repairs that require precision machinery - on: revolvers, 1911 pattern, and Glock pistols. I am a highly skilled, but not factory certified, Glock Armorer.

  4. I have no personal military or armed security experience; but a great many of my personal acquaintance have, and do.

  5. Experience with CSS, and Reddit Markdown? None that I know of; but I am highly computer literate, and very well educated.

  6. I've been both an annual as well as a Life-Member of the National Rifle Association for the past 40 + years. (Most of it as a Life-Member.)

  7. I'm also a Certified Firearms Instructor with training in: Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun instruction. I've been trained in Firearm Safety And Handling; and I was formerly certified to teach Personal Security INSIDE the home.

  8. I'm not a big fan of intrusive IGF site moderation. If I really have to get involved then I always try to start out with a gentle reminder to, 'play nice'. If that doesn't work then it's time for a warning; but I've never had to issue either a permanent (on the board member's record) or a suspension warning. It's been my experience that most people know when to cut it out.

  9. I'm an older man; and I have a lot of experience as an executive board member of several different local gun clubs. I first started shooting when I was only nine years old with my Marine Corps uncles - All recently returned from either the South Pacific Theater, or Korea. Most of my early knowledge about guns, how to handle them, and use firearms well comes from these men.
