I know exactly what you mean. You always end up in the same place no matter what choices you make.

Games like DA: Origins, you can be a nasty bastard but you still have to save the world and defeat the Archdemonin combat, Fable let’s you be an arsehole but once again you have to save the world in a fight. Elder Scrolls, Gothic, Witcher, etc etc they’re all great games but are exactly the same in this way.

Some games I recommend are:

Planescape Torment. I haven’t played it properly but apparently you can solve things without fighting

Mount & Blade: Warband is a sandbox game let’s you do whatever you want, but it lacks a storyline
