Lost interest in everything

Hunting and outsmarting others gave you a sense of purpose. Today we are endlessly aquiring capital - to pay for food (which is easily bought, and therefore not rewarding or gratifying), pay home tax, pay home insurance, pay car insurance, fix your car, pay for school, etc. One could say that since we have met our primary needs, we also have met our purpose. I think only a few people are really living nicely. For the rest of us, getting up for work everyday is a pain in ass. It is boring. Doctor, engineer, nurse, restaurant owner, computer programmer - all boring. Not easy either - all the hoops you have to jump through. Otherwise you end up working at mcdonald's - that is slavery.
