Lost motorcycle title and trying to sell... help?

Korea was really lax for quite a few years; allowing small bikes to be on the road without plates being required. As a result quite a few bikes were floating about a few years ago that were in legal limbo when things changed and laws began being properly enforced.

Like the other poster here said, if it's in your name there is no problem and the gu can produce papers for you or your buyer. If it's not in your name, it might be possible for the gu to help you track down the registered owner. Weather he is willing to play ball or not is a crapshoot though, and an unlikely one as chances are fines have accumulated on a bike that was allowed to remain registered after insurance lapsed.

Honestly, it might not be worth it, and your best bet is probably selling it on Craigslist. I sold a similar bike that had papers, but wasn't registered to me for ₩300k, expect to get a fair bit less for a bike without papers though. I'd expect to not be able to sell it for more than ₩200kpa in that case.

Worth a visit to the gu either way I'd reckon.
