I see a lot of discussion about ratio and I don't get it.

I've always preferred just open public torrents, but it's been so much work over the years trying to follow the trends. I inevitably find myself nearly clueless as to where all my pirate friends have sailed off too.

I'm starting to think that it's all the private trackers now. I got my first seedbox a few months ago and got streaming setup for the family thru Plex. I'm just always reading a lot about ratios too and in the context of everyone using these private trackers. I've pirated for over 30 years now, and I always felt that even setting up a name and password somewhere was asking to be caught. Like the scene groups themselves, they are so secretive, because the ones who weren't paranoid got scooped up by the alphabet soup squads. I guess is what I'm saying as in back in my days we relied on the generosity of those who could share and did as much as we could at the time. This guy seems to share that philosophy and like me is now in a little better position to share more than we take so that other's don't have to.
