(Louisiana) someone shot my dog

I should mention I did take the dog to the vet. She is on antibiotics and had an xray that looked good.

Not sure when it happened. We have a big yard where it is multiple family lots next to each other. Ironically the rest of the family are all on vacation now. So it could have happened on the other side of the property and no one would have heard. My dog might have been out of the yard though. I live on a dead end road and dogs get out regularly (not mine just in general on my road) If one dog in particular comes over she tries to get out and play. I am going to talk to that dog owner tomorrow. I just really dont know. Only 18 people live on my road not counting my family and everyone talks/gossips etc and no one has ever said anything about my dogs negatively.
