It's Love Fest Friday, are you ready for it?

Married a guy I had known for a few months and had spent a total of a month together (rest of the time writing letters).

That was 22 years and 3 children ago. He was a heavy metal guy, computer nerd, totally shy, and from an ideal family. I was the popular girl, secretly nerdy, and totally sarcastic with a tragic backstory (shortest way to explain it). Everyone thought we were a total mismatch but us. We met through friends while he was visiting from another state. We KNEW within days.

Almost our entire relationship was via letters- 6wks until engagement. 3 more months until we married, I was pregnant within 2 months with our baby girl. 18 months later, baby boy. Now we are adopting another little boy through foster care and possibly another daughter. We have had a crazy life and so many hard things have happened (deaths, miscarriages, loss of businesses, serious illness and a brush with death, and a disabled child) and a few times I thought we might not make it, but we never gave up on each other. I love him more now than ever. He is my dream guy and thankfully he adores me too. We have struggled majorly and are trying to buy a house finally (student loans and CA prices are quite a hurdle) but our life has been the sweetest gift. Trust your gut, be brave, don’t give up. ❤️
