Semenanjung Chinese. My family started with no family wealth. Both parents come from poor to mid income families.

We're doing fine tho, my parents chose high earning / certified jobs that would allow them to go overseas in case. Most Non-Malays families don't have family wealth either. Mine didn't.

I think the reason why we'd expect Malays to have a good life is because we think you have same beginnings as those of use without family wealth. But you have the extra benefits. And if we're making it out fine without benefits, why can't you?

Having said that, I'm M40, and my parents left me some money cuz they worked hard. That's the family wealth, but it was made in 1 generation.

Haiz its just some rich Malay cronies wanting more money and power for themselves.
