I totally agree with you, and it makes sense. I think what made me make this post was fallout 4 specifically. The game is just very poorly done. Having a pc built specially to match the one x, I’ve been toying around with the settings a lot. I can make a much better overall image at a lower resoution and a solid 30 fps just by using the settings the developers already have access to. If seen in person I’m very confident most people would choose the lower resolution image. For any other game I cannot say the same.

As far as the cpu usage issue, the game on one x is actually limited by the gpu. Really the only thing that can’t be increased is actor draw distance and shadow draw distance. Almost everything uses the gpu. There are also some settings which go almost unnoticed such as sslr, yet hog a ton of resources. It’s just poorly optimized, and it’s a shame because it really only takes about 30 seconds to adjust those settings.
