Love vs Power: The cultural fight that drives human history

Enjoyed this, and it helped clarify some thoughts I was having after re-watching this Oprah/Dave Chappelle interview.

If you skip to around 15:00 in she gets to talking about a show she did on the KKK and skinheads and mentions, "What comes with this kind of power is a responsibility".

Before this she also says, "I realized I was a part of the problem, and not a part of the solution".

So, what it boils down to is, her "solution" is the restriction of what people have to say. Her "responsibility" is not to free speech or free expression, but a responsibility to censoring what she doesn't like or agree with.

"Giving people a voice" is the problem according to her. I don't know. Just seems everyone should have a voice you know? No matter how ridiculous it is. I mean where are we going to draw the line about who can speak and who can't? If what these guys are saying is that ridiculous, shouldn't people be able to discern that on their own?

Seems many more problems arise when people don't speak or remain silent.

I realize and understand she might not want these guests on her show, but to say they shouldn't have a voice or show of their own seems power mad. (Shouldn't matter anyways if it's as terrible as she claims because ratings wouldn't support it).

Anyways, thought that might fit in here since they also talk about Love or vitamin L in that interview (or a deficiency of it at least).
